First Snow Painting!

YAY! It's the first snow of the year here! I have only spent a couple years of my life in a climate that has snow.... so this is my first snow painting from life in probably 6 years! A quick digital painting sketch in Photoshop from observation out my studio window. :)

Quick Digital Figure Painting with Trackpad

For my morning exercise I decided to paint this young lady in Photoshop using just my laptop's trackpad and one brush. Varying just size and opacity. I really like being out of my comfort zone, you learn alot!!!

Digital Landscape Painting / Study

Character Sketch - Round 1!

I did this Warrior sketch quickly today for a friend. It's my first rough (very rough!). The value is more for defining space/objects, not light. I'll refine/clean/define him more in the next sketch. I have all sorts of ideas behind everything about him. A story/history, no matter how small, ALWAYS helps you make your work better!

Painting From Memory

Lots of times when i'm driving, I try to remember a scene and it's colors, then I paint it when I get home. It's GREAT practice for many reasons!
